Application for Repair Assistance Program

Did your vehicle fail or reject?

You may qualify for Clean Air Car Check’s Repair Assistance Program!

The Repair Assistance Program is designed to provide help for motorists that face a financial hardship when their vehicle will not pass an emissions test.

Motorists whose households are at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines are eligible for this program. If financial qualifications are met, an appointment will be scheduled with Clean Air Car Check’s Technical Repair Advisor who will evaluate the vehicle and determine what type of assistance can be provided.

All federally mandated emissions control components must be present on the vehicle to qualify. Only one vehicle per household per two-year emissions test cycle can receive assistance.

Please have the following information with you to apply for assistance:

  • Indiana Vehicle Inspection Report
  • Household size (how many people you are financially responsible for that live in your home)
  • Monthly household income from all sources (before taxes)
  • Any current repair receipts or estimates for recommended repairs

Please call Clean Air Car Check’s Customer Service Hotline at 888-240-1684 with any questions about this program. Hotline hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A representative from Clean Air Car Check will contact you within two business days to discuss your eligibility and options for assistance. If you would rather not wait to be contacted, please call our Customer Service Hotline at 888-240-1684 Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

AVOID THE RUSH!

Vehicles can be inspected beginning in October of the year before they are due to be tested. There is no need to wait for a notice to arrive in the mail, just bring in your vehicle prior to its registration expiration.
